A Tennessee Christmas

Christmas was over a week ago and it blows my mind that it is 2009 already! I wish everyone a very happy and blessed new year! We spent Christmas in TN this year with my parents. Our whole family got together on my side for the first time since Corey and I were married in 2004 (if I remember correctly). It was very nice to see all the kids together and we all got lots of pictures to remember our time together. Here are just a few pictures that I took of Fiana opening gifts on Christmas Day and "decorating" a ginger bread house on Christmas Eve.

This is the Ginger bread house that we decorated. Aunt "Dinda" Lorinda and cousin Tyler helped decorate the house and the gingerbread tree. It was a neat little kit I found at costco for 9.99.

The house came pre-assembled making it very easy to manage, especially with young kids. Corey and I usually make ginger bread ornaments for Christmas but this was a good substitute this year :)

Fiana helped "decorate" the ginger bread house too. Well she like playing with the bubble wrap. But the bubble wrap needed to be popped and candy is a must to eat on Christmas Eve! :)

Despite her dislike of stocking stuffers Fiana eventually got into the Christmas Spirit and enjoyed opening all her gifts.

Among her Favorites was the playdough kits that Corey and I bought for her. She loves Playdough especially her new Dora kit.

She loves puzzles

And reading books too!

Santa made an exception for her this year and surprised her with a automated plush rocking horse. It really neighs, wags it's tail and moves its head while Fiana rocks back and forth. She received so many wonderful gifts this year more than what I can mention here and she really enjoys playing with all of them. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her cousins, aunts & uncles, Duchess the dog, and of course Mimi and Papa.

Fiana loved helping Mimi cook Christmas dinner. She Faithfully handed a potatoe to Mimi when she asked for one.

Duchess and Fiana became fast friends and followed each other around everywhere.

All together Corey and I have 15 nieces and Nephews. Here is a recent pic from Christmas of all the kids together on my side. It was a very special Christmas.
