little bit ago how I wished starbucks or Dunkin donuts had a delivery
service. After 3 hours of sleep last night it's a nice idea I guess.
Between corey kicking me bc he was having a bad dream and changing
fianas sheets plus doing a little eBay too it was a long night! LOL!
For those who care he dreamed we gave Fiana to our friends zach and
laura but then we wanted her back and they refused to do so. Obvioosly
this is a nightmare bc we would not give our preciuos daughter to
anyone, LOL! Ok so back to the topic-- It seems Fiana loves to sit on
her potty in her bathroom on the 2nd floor bc everytime we are up
there I ask her each time if she has to go potty and she nods her head
yes and then she goes to her bathroom. I put her on the potty where
she stays for a good amount of time but doesnt do anything in it
though. She doesnt like using the potty on the first floor anymore and
I'm trying to figure what I can put in there to make it as fun as her
bathroom upstairs to see if that would help. When I see her doing her
little dance I ask her if she needs to use the potty and she nods her
head and says no. I don't want to just put her on the toilet unless
she actually starts doing something. We play together on the floor all
day. She loves coloring and its nice that if the paper gets messy i
can through it away vs cleaning a ton of toys. Well one time i could
tell she had to go but she said no to the potty and as a result my lap
became the potty so then I quickly moved her to her toilet and managed
to get the rest in her potty but she quickly ran away from it. I was
expecting lots of accidents but was hopeful that the newness of her
potty downstairs would not have worn off so fast which is probably why
she will sit on her other one upstairs bc it's something new and fun.
She wears big girl undies 24/7 and we go through quit a bit in a day.
Yesterday we only went through 12. Ten during the day and two at
night. It's been more today today and I also got her baby goes potty
doll out and put undies on it as well instead of the diaper it came
with. I let the doll have an acident and changed the dolls undies to
show fiana and I could tell something clicked when she saw that. It
helped fiana not become so upset when she had accidents and that it is
ok to change her undies and keep trying. I didn't have any issues
getting dry undies on her after that which is another obstacle I was
trying to hurdle over. So it will take time. I'm sure for some kids it
can take 3 days but I'm not expecting it to happen this way for her.
Who knows I could be surprised though!
